I wonder if Skubal will take a 300/5 type deal.

Pays him 60 million a year but the Tigers get his entire prime without being stuck paying a high AAV in his late 30s.

I’d love for Skubal to be a tiger forever. It doesn’t seem like that’s the prerogative of this FO. If we aren’t going to do that, signing another top end pitcher and trading him while his value is the highest is the best possible outcome.
