Another type of propagation not mentioned much is knife-edge propagation. It is more common in UHF, but certain geography can create this effect on HF, VHF, and UHF, although it is not that common. I have observed it on HF.

Monitoring CBRS 36 LSB (27 MHz), calling it the dummy load channel 🤣😂🤷♂️. I'm thinking he's probably hearing someone testing—but it reminded me of the time I had a coax switch with a dummy load on one port and thought I wasn't getting out. Actually, you do get out a little.
