Freelancers, you ARE business owners.

The sooner you embrace that and start acting like it, the faster you will grow.

The secret to career growth is not just hard work…

it is strategic self-investment.

Your personal brand is your leverage.

How are you building your brand?

Your content pillars should do the intended work.

• Teach
• Inform
• Validate
• Guide your audience

Anything else is just content fluff.

Promote old blog posts to increase Google traffic. Every click positions posts to reach page 1 based on user intent. If a Google user visited your blog prior and the content is helpful, they are more likely to see it on page 1. Google likes to read preferences and personalize.

People don’t buy certainty because it’s flashy.

They buy it because it feels like relief, like calm, like peace.

Create and connect.

Blog based on the timeless fundamentals.

Publish detailed blog posts.

Connect with resonant readers.

Follow these steps consistently, even when it feels less inspiring to do so.

Full-time bloggers do simple, truly helpful things more than everyone else.

Never be surprised when your blogging income increases as your social media reach plummets precipitously. Laser targeting one specific reader with specialized content ain't popular but is profitable. Let go of trying to be seen. Send people to your blog with practical tips.

The way to become a pro blogger is to do the work yourself. The way to fail then quit is to shortcut this process by attempting to use artificial things to do the work for you. Doing the work yourself builds skills, credibility and exposure, the holy trinity of monetizing.

Drive blog traffic with content.

Publish one long form post weekly.

Be consistent.

Build your blog into a trusted niche resource.

Do the work.

Be truly helpful to draw traffic to your blog.

Test a topic before making it a pillar.

Post about it for a week straight. If interest fades or ideas run dry...

...it’s not strong enough to anchor your content.

Treat your blog as an asset that gradually works for you around the clock not a job progressively consuming more of your time with diminishing returns. Create everything evergreen so that it lasts or requires minimal updates. Think beyond trending topics to the timeless basics.

Most people fail because they’re too impatient to play the long game.

Consistency without immediate reward.

Being active and putting in the work month after month, year after year, is the only way.

1. Commit publicly to a posting cadence.

2. Document the process.

3. Review

Your blog will have errors but minimizing these mistakes moves you into the upper echelon in your niche. Update your posts consistently. Proofread your content to spot and correct errors. But be at peace with not being perfect because nobody is.

False Content Marketing Advice: Common Myths Debunked

"Longer content always ranks better" - False. Google ranks content that best answers the query.

SEO best practice:

Create topic clusters by publishing 5–7 related posts and link them together.

Robist internal links build topical authority far better than isolated content.
