I found a great PCA church in the area that me and my wife will be joining here soon. But the whole functional female officer things is really bad and sounds like it could get worse. I know the PCA is still solid and got plenty of faithful churches but is PCA still worth joining?

I am starting to think that the church is actually progressing while the world stagnates.
400AD: we beat the Aryans
1600s: we beat the papists
1900s: we beat the arminians (they don’t put up much fight)
2000s: fighting egalitarianism (by far a less bad problem)

For all those non-elders (like myself) who are very online and know what’s going on in denominations and presbyteries far from you, don’t forget that the Lord has called you to your own local congregation and your own family. Love the people around you and help them love the Lord

Can you guys again please keep my mom in your prayers? She is taking the senior bus tomorrow to her doctor's office and back. Her doctor's office is about 2.5 hours away by car. She's taken the senior bus in town before, but hasn't yet taken it so far away

For those who have recently gone through licensure in the PCA, what were something you wish you knew when starting your studying? I feel overwhelmed with the very broad requirements and vague study guide. I have Chappells study guide and a different presbytery’s guide as well.

Uphold Christian Morals & Standards

This is a Christian community for Christians. Accounts which promote morals, standards or values (e.g. porn) contrary to those of Christians are not welcome.

Presbyterian Means Reformed

Whilst some views may differ, and exceptions may be held, being a reformed Presbyterian implies a high view of the Westminster Standards, as a point of unity.

Non-Members MUST Behave

Any behaviour from non-members that is found to be undesirable by community members will result in a ban; this community exists only for its member's benefit.
