SSGI done!

around ~1.4ms impact, rendering at half res and upscaling

this is independent of scene complexity btw, depends only on resolution

pretty happy with the results for now. It's not perfect, but easily runs in realtime without a dedicated GPU https://t.co/TI7DbhanGX

some progress on SSGI

> GBuffer pass with normals and albedo
> mipmaps for depth and irradiance (so we can lod sample farther pixels)
> horizon based AO and GI (6 rays per pixel, 12 steps)

ok, back at it

shadow cascades done, got a 1.8ms frame hit which I want to look at, but this shadow mapping technique does require 4 extra render passes.

Studied Colorimetry to understand how exactly do humans percieve color . Learnt about CIE chromaticity diagrams ,Color spaces , color gamut and stuff like that downloaded official CIE data and plotted some graphs played around with converting tristimulus values to RGB https://t.co/0K9lw4xFMZ

LOL turns out I was spending 15ms on memset every frame on every thread.

fixed, now ~130 FPS (still slow)
