I created Frame which is an open-source, grid-based terminal framework that standardizes AI-assisted development workflows by providing structured context, memory, and project management for long-running engineering sessions. It now reached 200 stars on GitHub in just 9 days.

Hey 👋🏻
Can this community help me connect with great people and those who can provide good resources to start with open source?
I am Bhumit, and I have a basic idea of how open source works, but I haven’t contributed yet. Can anyone suggest good resources to help me get started?

Started doing small steps for using AI to help me with my bigger open-source projects:

@LIPS_scheme main JavaScript file with 12k lines of code
jQuery Terminal main JS file with 13k lines of code

When I started those projects, I hated modules. After experiencing them in one PHP https://t.co/wvQUtDNRjf

DaisyUI doesn’t support dual-handle (min/max) range sliders

I packaged a small, framework-agnostic bridge between DaisyUI styling and noUiSlider behavior

Nooxy v1.8.1 out 🚀
Fixes: Performance issues are resolved
New Features: toggle “Made with Nooxy” badge but if you hide it, 💔 it’ll probably break my heart… but your design wins 😢
Thanks for the feedback, keep it coming and let’s grow Nooxy together! https://t.co/RcLQqdfgzH

Just merged my first open-source PR of 2026 into a CNCF repo.

Hopefully the first of many! https://t.co/t64GG8RUqD

Open source hiring signal most candidates miss:
Maintainers notice how you work, not just what you ship.Signals that stand out:

thoughtful issue discussions
respectful review responses
willingness to revise, not defend

This behavior often matters more than the PR itself.

Bifrost: Go-based, fully self-hosted LLM gateway, 50× faster than LiteLLM. Ultra-low overhead, adaptive load balancing, cluster resilience, drop-in OpenAI API. 🚀 https://t.co/zpBWwJimpf

Something people are not seeing clearly right now 👇
The rapid adoption of generative AI for searching open-source tools and auto-writing code is slowly destroying many open-source projects, not by tech, but by breaking their monetization models.
